Moose Antler Eagle Head Car Hanging with Moosehide Strap

A moose antler eagle head, carved by hand and hung on a soft moosehide lace so it can sit on your rear-view mirror. Made by Gordon Shecapio-Blacksmith in Oujé-Bougoumou, Eeyou Istchee.

The eagle flies highest and carries our prayers, which is why a carving like this one is often kept close while travelling. Each piece is shaped from a single piece of antler, so the grain, the colour and the line of the beak are never quite the same twice. Tones range from bright cream through to soft grey.

Care

Wipe the antler with a dry cloth. Keep the moosehide away from water and out of prolonged direct sun.
