ABOUT THE ARTIST
Miyawbin Wapachee
A traditional artist from Nemaska who learned at a very young age about sewing from family members. She enjoys learning from elders and wants to preserve and keep Cree culture alive for future generations. She specializes in beadwork and many other items including Waspsooyan (baby hats), Moccasins, and Barrettes (hair clips).
