Detail
A large, fully beaded bear paw barrette by Maggie Bosum of Mistissini. Black claws and pink and green toe pads sit above a soft floral pad of pink and yellow flowers with green leaves, all worked bead by bead on a white beaded background.
The beadwork is stitched onto vinyl and backed with cowhide, and a wooden stick finished with a beaded tassel holds it in place.
