Brown Cowhide Pulluk Mittens with Navy Fox Fur

Handmade pulluk mittens by Cree artist Maggie Kawapit of Whapmagoostui. They are sewn from dark brown and brown cowhide leather, gathered at the fingertips for a soft, rounded shape, and finished with full, fluffy cuffs of navy fox fur.

The deep navy fur against the warm brown leather makes a striking pair, and the sherpa fleece lining keeps hands warm on the coldest days.

Care

Keep dry. If the mittens get wet, let them air dry at room temperature, away from direct heat. Spot clean the leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth, gently shake or brush the fur to keep it full, and store them so the fur isn't crushed.
