Dolls dressed by Cree artist Denis Damée of Senneterre in outfits cut, sewn and laced by hand from soft processed deer hide. Each doll wears a full set: a fringed dress, a headband or hair ties wrapped around long black braids, and tiny moccasins with cuffs or laces.
No two outfits are the same. Some carry glass bead necklaces and bracelets, wooden beads or a fur collar, and one wears a wide beaded band worked in a diamond pattern. Choose your doll from the styles below.
Style Options
Laced Front Dress: golden deer hide dress laced up the front with brown hide cord, brown fringe at the shoulders and hem, fringed golden headband and cuffed moccasins
Grey Fur Collar: wide grey fur collar, light blue bead necklace, fringed golden top over a skirt laced at the sides
Brown Fringe & Wood Beads: golden dress with a brown fringed collar and overskirt, wooden bead necklace and bracelets, brown headband and cuffed moccasins
White Fur & Green Beads: white fur collar and fringed shoulder cape, headband edged in green and yellow seed beads, beaded bracelets and beaded side seams
Turquoise & Red Beads: smooth golden deer hide dress with a long fringe yoke, turquoise and red beaded headband, choker, bracelets and earrings
Beaded Diamond Band: brown deer hide dress with a fringed hem and a wide beaded waist band in turquoise, pink, yellow and sparkling stones, brown moccasins

Care
Keep dry and out of direct sun so the hide keeps its colour. Dust lightly with a soft, dry brush.
