White Cowhide Mittens with Floral Beadwork & Fox Fur

Hand sewn white cowhide mittens by Cree artist Jeanette Bosum of Mistissini. Each mitten is finished with a full, fluffy white fox fur cuff.

A hand beaded rose in coral red, with a golden centre and green leaves, blooms across the back of the mitten, standing out bright against the clean white leather. Every bead is stitched by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Care

Keep dry. If the mittens get wet, let them air dry at room temperature, away from direct heat. Spot clean the leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth and gently shake out or brush the fur to keep it full.
