Quilted Sewing Kit by Lilian F. Sam

A fold-over sewing kit, quilted and sewn by Cree artist Lilian F. Sam of Chisasibi. It keeps needles, thread, beads and small notions together in one place, so it is just as useful in a beading bag as it is in a travel pouch or a sewing drawer.

Each kit opens flat to a quilted inner panel and fabric pockets, then folds into a compact pouch finished with a lace appliqué on the flap. Lilian pairs a different set of fabrics for every kit, so each one is one of a kind.

Available Styles

• Plaid with Pink Butterfly: red, white, black and yellow plaid flannel outside, grey and white chevron quilted lining, chocolate brown binding, pink lace butterfly with a pearl bead, white leather tie closure
• Purple Floral: lavender print with teal and blue flowers outside, white quilted lining with a cream calico pocket, purple ribbon binding, tan leather tab with a purple snap, lilac lace flower with a pearl bead
