ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paula Menarick (Fast Cloud)
A traditional and contemporary artist, was born and raised in Chisasibi. She grew up watching her mother, aunts and grandmothers make beautiful bead-work, embroidery, painting, crochet, knitting and sewing. At a young age she admired and appreciated their crafting skills and knew that she would follow in their footsteps. She is the owner of Fast Cloud Inspirations, where she sells her crafts to people all around Eeyou Istchee, Nunavik, Nunavut, Canada, United States and overseas. Paula is also a Powwow Dancer since the age of two. As a fancy shawl dancer, it lifts her spirit and brings her joy to be able to dance and bring healing to the people. She enjoys sharing culture and tradition for our future generations.
